Litchfield & Kakadu National Parks + Berry Springs Nature Park

Bamboo Creek Tin Mine----fascinating.
LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK.

Wangi Falls...beautiful place.  You can swim in the waterhole out to the waterfalls.

 Tollmer Falls

The waterhole at the bottom of Tollmer Falls.

On the way to the Cascades...there was no sign to say that to get there you had to clamber up & down rocks.  It was a really hard walk,so we had to return to the car.  This section was quite nice.
'The Lost City'....a very long 10klm 4x4 very rough track to get into see.
It was worth it though!

Buley Rockhole...a lovely spot! Looking up the river.

 Buley Rockhole...looking down the river.

Florence Falls ..beautiful!

Magnetic Termite Mounds...it looked like a cemetery.

 'The Cathederal'...over 5 metres high.

ADELAIDE RIVER WAR CEMETERY. The resting place for 63 civilians & 434 Australian,British & Canadian servicemen & women who were killed when the Japanese bombed Darwin in WW2.  A beautifully kept cemetery.

Darwin River Dam.  It is huge & supplies all of Darwin with their drinking water.

KAKADU NATIONAL PARK.   Sunrise over Kakadu National Park

Mamukula Wetlands...a beautiful spot!   Notice the baby bird walking on the lily pads.  Too cute!

Ubirr - Aboriginal Rock Art.  Fantastic!

This is a fisherman.

Notice the hand!

Ubirr -  This is half way up...these rocks have masses of Aboriginal art work all over them.  The view was fantastic!

Another view from up near the top.

A Jabiru...we finally got to see some!

Alligator River in Kakadu...we saw a crocodile on the opposite bank.

Alligator River...Mudskippers..you have to look very closely.  There were hundreds of them.

Burning off in Kakadu..notice all the 'Whistling Kytes' having a feed in the air.

Berry Springs Nature Reserve...we swam in these beautiful natural pools.

Berry Springs..They were closed when we first arrived as there was a crocodile in residence.

Berry Springs....it was magic being massaged by the
water coming over the rocks.
